Birthday benefits for CVS Reward members

CVS loyalty members receive a $3 ExtraBucks Reward on their birthday. In order to qualify for this offer, the ExtraCare account should be active. Card members need to update their birthdays in the details of the card. This benefit is available only once per calendar year per card. Though $3 seems like a small amount, anything free is welcome.

By using the CVS ExtraCare program, members can save money. They also get access to helpful health resources and enjoy a more convenient shopping experience.

Limitations of the CVS ExtraCare Rewards program

CVS ExtraCard rewards program though is a great program, but it has its limitation. The most important limitation of this rewards program is the validity period of the rewards. The cash back rewards or the ExtraBucks rewards are valid only for a period of 90 days. ExtraBucks rewards expire after a quarter of earning them.

Also, the ExtraBucks Rewards cannot be used for purchases at affiliated businesses. Affiliated businesses include MinuteClinic, CVS at Target, Navarro, Schnucks, and CVS Optical.

There is a total limit of $50 ExtraBucks rewards in a calendar year for each individual on a household ExtraCare account.

Further, the ExtraBucks Rewards can only be used in CVS, Unlike traditional rewards credit cards or the Pharmacy co-branded credit card, the ExtraBucks are limited to CVS pharmacies. Rewards and benefits available via the ExtraCare Program have no cash value. These ExtraBuck Rewards are not available for cash, gift certificates, or gift cards,
